Description:
This is a box full of expansions for 6 games that Rio Grande Games has done in cooperation with Ystari Games: Mykerinos, Amyitis, Caylus Magna Carta, Metropolys, Sylla and Yspahan.
Mykerinos: The Nile
This Mykerinos add-on was made available at Essen 2007. It includes 6 new tiles and 4 tokens. The players will sail on the Nile and meet a new character, governor Greenwish.
Amyitis: Nebuchadnezzar’s Palace
Amyitis will be embellished with a palace and a new craft to get in: the courtier. Depending on your investment in the palace, you may become the first player, do the procession, recruit any character, or get a courtier.
Caylus Magna Carta: Royal Favor
Caylus Magna Carta, will now support up to 5 players and will add a few new buildings (including prestige buildings) which can grant some royal favors. A small board will allow you those favors and gain some resources, victory points or permanent powers. For instance, you may sacrifice a worker for a whole round in exchange for a denier or a resource.
Metropolys
Includes four new goal cards that replace the District goals in the base game. Players now score nine points if they control three buildings in the district depicted on their card.
Sylla: Caveant Consules
Includes a dozen cards that fill out the game in small ways. Two new characters are added to each player’s character set: the Gladiator, who earns you prestige and counts as a Leisure token, and the Philosopher, who doubles the power of another character. The Forum Romanum is a new project, and the Earthquake and Military Defeat are new events that can strike down your characters.
Yspahan: The Souks
This 18-card expansion replaces the cards in the base game, and while a few of them are repeats from the original set of cards, most of them are new, with powers such as trading goods for points, gold or camels, using a set of dice on the Tower at the end of the turn, and earning points for placing goods in each neighborhood.
